PLATFORMS FOR PEOPLE RIDING ON THE UPPER BELT

PLATFORMS FOR PEOPLE RIDING ON THE UPPER BELT

The use of platforms for boarding and unboarding people from platforms mounted on the belt conveyors, extends their purpose for travelling. The platforms are equipped with elements that facilitate entry and exit onto the belt during the conveyor work. The platforms must be properly adapted to the slope of the excavation. Additionally, they are made from specific materials to prevent slippage.

In case of the boarding platform, we are talking about the connection of the movable arm with the platform by swivel joint, which is dropping down over the belt when a person reaches its end. The movable arm is properly balanced to go back to the horizontal position at the time the person does leave it.

At the point of entering onto the belt (the first contact of the transporter person with the belt), a sliding plate is installed to protect the user in case of damage in the belt e.g. a hole. From the front side of the platform, a guide bracket is installed to prevent the belt slippage.

The platform to unboard people from the conveyor is designed to be mounted to the supporting structure of the conveyor route in order to enable travelling people go to the side of the belt in a standing position. Behind the platform we have a support bracket with a guide to prevent the belt from slippage.
